this link shows how even during self quarantine how we should and could be productive. That quarantine is not really bad, but an opportunity. And as an old saying goes – carpe diem. Seize the day.
My favourite song is easily ‘Leaving on a Jet Plane’. I don’t know how many times I have listened to it. While working, in my free time. Every second of my life there are earphones in my ears and this song is playing. Even when I am not listening to the song I keep humming its tune and singing a few lines. (Though I must admit I am not that good when it comes to singing). You know, there is a quote which says, “Happy Hearts Hum.” Great quote. Anyways, I was going on and on about how I love this song. I am sure most of you would have listened to this song. If not, then I have attached it here 👇🏻
Thanks for reading and listening! Stay safe and be careful! Remember, masks on and social distancing.
Yours,
Ishaan.
Prancing fire falls on grass, moonlit buds kiss the sky, and I lie shivering in beauty.
And here I am, yet again, coming to fill these verses. But no thoughts, do dare enter this forlorn mind of mine. Tons of space and tons of time, yet no words do cross my mind. Verses, verses, yet nothing to write. Just sit and ponder and think about those things buried inside.
Glazed sunlight, falls from azure skies and pile up on one another.
I saw a man in the rain, he wore a coat of purple make. His shoes were shaggy - his hair unkempt. But his eyes were bright and his thoughts afar. He looked at me with eccentric eyes, land thus began. He spoke of lands, far and distant. He told me of time, and of realms afar. He told me of travel and of his lover’s hour. I sat with him awhile and then suddenly - he grabbed my hand. On his hand he wore a bracelet. And written on it were - five words, You are not that important. And then I looked at him again, that bedraggled man in the rain. And smiled at him. Here was another man just like me. Left alone to cope up.
I sit alone on this straggled beach - where time doesn’t flow. I sit and I wait for those who will come and wash away my sorrow. All in all a thousand suns, and yet I shiver in cold. I wait alone for that arm which will wipe away my woe. Crying, crying I waste away - a shadow of my youth.
I read this quote in a book a long time ago. The books name is The Warlock. It is part of the series ‘Secrets of the Immortal Nicolas Flamel’. If you are looking for a thriller fantasy read, I can assure you that this is a series you would love. The quote goes hence: Dee looked at the young man in front of him. Eyes startlingly blue and his unkempt blond hair. And then he spoke, his voice a ragged whisper, “Words can be false. They can be twisted and changed. Illusions can be made. You will get manipulated. But this,” he said tapping at the man’s heart, “This is always true. Always follow your heart.” Always follow your heart. Always.
Twisting rays- of moonlight fall, on blooming flowers. I watch.
